Coloursmith Labs is a company that specializes in developing optical filtering lens technology. WildBrain creates content for kids and families. With approximately 13,000 half-hour episodes of filmed entertainment, it is one of the world’s most extensive libraries of children’s shows. WildBrain’s brands include Peanuts, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Caillou, Inspector Gadget, Johnny Test and Degrassi. Its shows are seen in more than 150 countries on over 500 telecasters and streaming platforms. WildBrain Spark, the Video on Demand segment of the company, offers one of the largest networks of kids’ channels on YouTube with over 168 million subscribers. WildBrain also licenses consumer products and location-based entertainment in every major territory for its own properties as well for clients and content partners. The television group owns and operates four family entertainment channels that are among the most viewed in Canada.

Antler Gold

Antler Gold Inc. is a Canadian gold exploration company, focused on the acquisition and exploration of gold projects in Namibia. Antler’s Erongo Central and Western Gold Project is comprised of seven exclusive prospecting licenses (EPL’s) which are located within the South Central Zone (SCZ) of Namibia’s prospective Damara gold belt. Resolute Health

The predecessor company to Resolute, The Snore Shop, was Established in 2005 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia by Dr. Neil Smith. The Snore Shop specialized in the testing and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. In 2017, Wade Dawe partnered with Dr. Neil Smith and Resolute Health was formed. Resolute subsequently expanded by acquiring clinics across the country, becoming the largest independent provider of sleep therapy in Canada. Resolute operated 72 clinics across 6 provinces. In early June 2022, Resolute was acquired by Kensington Private Equity.

Pivot Technology Solutions

Pivot Technology Solutions Inc. was a full-service information technology company that provided infrastructure and services to approximately 2000 customers, including many members of the S & P 500. Wade served as Chairman of the Board of this TSX-listed company for four years, which resulted in the acquisition of Pivot by Computacenter in November of 2020. Wade was a member of the Board’s Special Committee for the transaction and led negotiations for the cash sale of the company for approximately $105.8 million ($2.60 per share).

Brigus Gold

In 2010, Apollo Gold merged with Linear Gold to form Brigus Gold Corp. Wade served as CEO until 2014 when he negotiated the sale of the company to Primero Mining Corp. in an all share deal valued at $351 million. Brigus Gold was best known for operating Black Fox Gold Mine in Timmons, Ontario.

Salter Street Films

Brigus Capital was a significant shareholder in Salter Street Films, a Canadian television and film production company founded in Halifax in 1983. The company created multiple successes including This Hour Has 22 Minutes and producing Michael Moore’s Academy Award winning documentary, Bowling for Columbine.

Linear Gold Corp.

Linear Gold Corp. was a publicly-traded gold exploration and development company focused on acquiring, exploring, and advancing gold properties in Central America. Linear merged with Apollo Gold in 2010 to form Brigus Gold Corp., a transaction valued at $102 million.

Keeper Resources

Wade co-founded this Vietnam-focused oil and gas exploration company in 2003. Keeper Resources was sold for $51.6 million in 2008, in an all cash deal.

Major Drilling

In 2000, near the bottom of the commodity cycle, Brigus Capital acquired a sizeable stake in TSX-traded Major Drilling. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, Major Drilling is one of the largest specialized drilling services operators in the world, primarily serving the mining industry.
